We don't price re-skims as a standalone job. They're quoted as part of your decoration or refurbishment, so the cost depends on the size of the area, the condition of the existing plaster and the wider works. We always provide a fixed quote upfront, with no day rates or surprises.

We cover skim coats over existing plaster, ceiling re-skims and crack repairs, patch plastering after electrical or plumbing work, and salt-resistant re-plastering after damp treatment. It is part of our decoration and refurb work rather than a standalone plastering service, and for damaged walls following damp or mould we coordinate with our damp team so you don't need a second contractor.

A fresh skim coat takes 3 to 5 days to fully dry depending on humidity and ventilation. The plaster will look dark first, then turn pale pink or buff as it dries. You should not paint freshly skimmed walls for at least a week, and you'll need a mist coat (watered-down emulsion) as the first coat so the plaster can absorb it properly.

Yes. We re-skim damaged ceilings, re-board where the existing ceiling has come away from the joists, and patch around new lights or extractor fans. Ceilings often crack or stain after roof leaks or condensation issues, so we can re-skim the ceiling and coordinate any underlying damp work in the same visit.

Yes, this is one of our most common jobs. After damp-proofing or mould treatment the affected walls usually need re-plastering with salt-resistant render and a finish coat. We handle the full process in-house including damp diagnosis, treatment, re-plastering and final paintwork.

Yes. We can re-skim, leave the recommended drying time, then return for a mist coat and full repaint. This is the standard package for landlords and letting agents preparing a property between tenants: one team, one invoice, fully coordinated.

Small jobs (single wall, ceiling repair, patch plastering) can usually be booked within a week. Larger re-skim works are typically 2 to 3 weeks out depending on schedule. We prioritise rental property turnarounds for landlords and agents working to a tight void timeline.
